Technical Specifications for Residential Entrance Doors

• Profiles: The profiles used for entrance doors are designed for heavy traffic, reinforced with galvanised steel of at least 2mm thickness. Weldable corners can be added for doors wider than 90cm, or upon request, to increase the door’s durability.
• Hinges: 3D or cylindrical hinges are used for a distinctive design.
• Locking Mechanism: A multi-point lock with a mushroom head is the standard choice, though a lock with bolts and beaks can also be used for enhanced security.
• Automation: For added convenience, access doors can be fitted with automation systems, allowing for code or card entry, or even fingerprint recognition.
• Handles/Shields: Depending on the balance between aesthetics and security, stainless steel bar-type handles or handles with external operation features can be chosen. Alternatively, handles without external operation capability are also available.
• Threshold: A 20mm high threshold is typically used for easy access, featuring a single seal, which allows inward-opening doors to have a dripper to expel water outside. For doors exposed to the elements, a closed frame with sealing on either two or three gaskets is recommended, covering all four sides of the door.
